The Mostar Municipal Court has issued a Decision on the Determination of a Security Measure, which prohibits the Independent Union of Employees of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, as a representative union, from striking and conducting a strike.

It is also prohibited from undertaking any further activities related to organizing a strike, until the final conclusion of this process or until another court decision in this legal matter.

The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton announced that with this decision, the Court, in order to ensure uninterrupted and regular activities of providing health services to patients, obliged the named union to enable uninterrupted and regular activities of providing complete and timely health services in all health institutions in the HNK area.

Let us recall that more than 4,000 health workers in the HNK have gone on strike. They are demanding a salary increase and equal treatment. Due to the strike, regular examinations and cold surgeries have been suspended, while emergency cases are still being treated.

Healthcare workers are demanding the signing of an annex to the Collective Agreement that would increase their job complexity coefficient by 0.50, in the same way as was previously done for members of the Union of Medical Doctors and Dentists.
