BiH Minister of Defense Zukan Helez visited the crew of the BiH Armed Forces helicopter that crashed today.

“Thank God, none of the crew have serious injuries. They were examined at the hospital in Konjic, and they were diagnosed with minor injuries and they were sent home,” said Helez.

He pointed out that the helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina was flying as part of a general rehearsal before tomorrow’s regular exercise to help the civilian population during floods.

“Unfortunately, during the flight, it caught a power line wire and soon after fell into the water. Thanks to the composure and training of the helicopter crew, the members of the BiH Armed Forces and Civil Protection who were there, the crew was evacuated and saved,” Helez points out.

He adds that the investigation into all the circumstances of the accident will be conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of the HNK and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In accordance with the results of the investigation, we will take the actions provided for by law.

“Thank you to the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Civil Protection who helped the helicopter crew with a calm and quick reaction. Thank you to the staff of the hospital in Konjic who treated the injured first. I repeat, the most important thing is that none of the crew members have serious injuries,” said Helez, Klix.ba writes.
