The office of the Croatian President Zoran Milanovic announced that “a new time has come in Croatian politics.”
As the adviser to the Croatian president, Nikola Jelic, announced on his official Twitter account, this refers to the possibility of sending Croatian soldiers to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) as part of EUFOR’s Althea mission.
”We will always fight for the protection of Croats in BiH. We will insist that Croatia sends its soldiers as part of the Altea operation to BiH, under the auspices of NATO or the European Union (EU). We will decide on that, not Sarajevo, not Belgrade. A new time has come in Croatian politics,” Jelic relayed Milanovic’s statement.
To recall, Milanovic has made statements like this before, which were met with strong opposition from political officials in our country.
Thus, the member of the BiH Presidency, Zeljko Komsic, recently said that the Croatian army, as part of EUFOR in BiH, is simply unacceptable.
”Countries that participated in military operations during the war in BiH cannot be part of EUFOR,” Komsic said earlier.
Furthermore, these days, Milanovic again, and with special intensity after the Brdo-Brijuni Process, focused on the alleged “problem of legitimate political representation of Croats in BiH.”
This again served as a training ground for him to launch disputed qualifications about the genocide in Srebrenica, Klix.ba writes.
