The Canton Sarajevo government has voted to increase the net hourly wage by 3.40, announced the president of the Health Workers’ Union, Senad Sadiković.
Although it is not as they originally requested, that the hourly wage be 3.70, they say that every increase is good, as well as the fact that they have increased wages four times in two years.
The tent in front of the Government building will remain, as he said, until they sign the Government’s conclusions.
Today, the Health Workers’ Union of Sarajevo Canton organized a protest march in the city center with a request to the CS Government to increase the net hourly wage to BAM 3.70. The protest walk was attended by more than a thousand health workers.
Previously, the President of the Trade Union stated that the CS Government offered them an hourly wage of 3.25 BAM and he expected them to “find a middle ground, to the benefit of both sides”.
