The drop of Number of Mobile Telphony Users in B&H?

mobileBosnia ended the first quarter of 2015 with 3.418 million mobile telephony users, a 2.08 percent drop compared to the fourth quarter of 2014. The mobile penetration rate was 88.98 percent, according to data from regulator RAK. BH Telecom had a 44.98 percent share of the mobile market, up from 44.87 percent in the first quarter of 2014, followed by Telekom Srpske with 42.09 percent (42.32%), HT Eronet with 12.68 percent (12.55%), Izi Mobile with 0.18 percent (0.25%) and Blicnet with 0.06 percent (0.02%).

The number of active fixed telephone lines totaled 760,608, down 2.76 percent on the end of 2014. BH Telecom had 43.40 percent of this market segment (46.63 in Q1 2014), followed by Telekom Srpske with 35.10 percent (34.78%), HT Eronet with 12.86 percent (12.81%) and new operators with 8.64 percent (5.79%).

 

The number of fixed broadband internet users amounted to 544,907, a 0.46 percent increase on the fourth quarter of 2014. The number of xDSL connections was 295,483 (-0.59%), cable connections reached 186,298 (2.50%), and fixed wireless connections amounted to 61,108 (-0.42%). The fixed internet penetration rate amounted to 61.79 percent.
