The EUFOR “Quick Response 2023″ exercise has entered the troop deployment phase.
The Communications Information Systems Company was deployed to Mount Trebevic and established a VHF antenna to ensure coverage of the exercise sector.
EUFOR practiced the rapid deployment of reserve forces and their integration into Multinational Battalion operations by deploying three maneuver elements to their respective areas of responsibility: a Hungarian company in Tuzla, a Bulgarian company in Bihac and a Turkish company in Capljina.
The Romanian company was deployed as a rapid intervention force (QRF) to support maneuver elements deployed throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
Their main task was to quickly react to serious incidents and support other units in fulfilling their mission. Companies conducted reconnaissance patrols, terrain familiarization, and routine framing patrols to prepare for upcoming missions.
The week culminated in a visit by the EUFOR commander, who observed troops reacting to scenarios involving securing ammunition and weapons depots and evacuating personnel from EUFOR LOT houses from hostile situations, EUFOR said.
