The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Sarajevo successfully ended the
process of international accreditation of study programs. The application for the accreditation
was a demanding and a rigorous process of acknowledging this institutions’ international
quality. By receiving this accreditation, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering has opened
the path for mobility and a global acclaim for its students. All departments at the Faculty
of Electrical Engineering received the international accreditation. Those are: Automatic
Control, Electronics Electric Power Engineering, Computing and Information Science and
Telecommunication

The presentation of the results and the process of accreditation was attended by the federal
and cantonal ministers of education, Damir Mašić and Fahrudin Oručević, as well as the Dean
of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Narcis Behlilović. The Dean stresses the fact that this
international accreditation enables more options for academic mobility. With this, as the Dean
Narcis Behlilović says, this high education institution fits the set standards of the European
area of high education.

” With this, our Faculty has the obligation to acknowledge all exams passed on any University
in Europe, but on the other hand this obligation is the same for faculties that our students
may attend in the EU. This kind of accreditation on the area of ex- Yugoslavia has only the
Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb”- said the Dean
Behlilović

The Minister of Education, Damir Mašić said that this accreditation only confirmed the
known quality of this Faculty. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of
Sarajevo has already celebrated its 50th anniversary of existence and great work with students
and the academic staff.
