The Family killed by a VRS Shell is portrayed as a Victim of a Crime committed by the ARBiH

The public in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and beyond was disturbed by the news that during the commemoration of the anniversary of Operation “Storm” in Prijedor, a photograph of the exiled Bosniaks from Zepa was used. However, falsification of history is a frequent phenomenon in the Republika Srpska (RS), and this is confirmed by the case of the Djorem family.

It is about a family that lived in Sarajevo throughout the war and was killed on July 6th, 1995 in the Alipasino Polje settlement, in Geteova Street. The entire Djorem family, as well as Nijaz Bajramovic and Elvir Ahmovic, were killed by a shell fired from the aggressor positions.

However, for the authorities and entity media, the reality of this historical fact is completely distorted. In the shameful report of the Radio Television of RS (RTRS), which was published several years ago, a completely different story was told that has no contact with reality.

“In the then-Muslim part of the city, Magdalena had just stepped into life, she didn’t even know how to write letters yet. She was only five years old, she hadn’t even hurt a fly. She lived so short and saw so little. But her wishes were extinguished by monsters who prevented her parents, Hena and Bozo, from saving their unit and escaping from Sarajevo hell. And there was a truce again,” the report stated.

In the continuation of RTRS’s report, heinous lies are presented that the Djorem family was liquidated by members of the Army of the Republic of BiH (ARBiH).

“However, the pathologist denied the lies. Hena and Bozo were killed in their apartment in Svrakino, with an automatic weapon, five-year-old Magdalena’s skull was smashed with a blunt object. The remains were later transferred from the Lav cemetery to their peers and compatriots… The falsifiers of their suffering, however, persist even today, but a memorial is being built for Magdalena, Milica, Natasa, and all other untold stories and extinguished Serbian childhoods,” the RTRS report adds.

Historian Jasmin Medic believes that the main reasons for the falsification of facts are the lack of personnel who would objectively analyze the past.

“In the RS, it is quite common to resort to falsifying facts and rewriting history. The reason for this is the lack of personnel who would expertly and objectively analyze the events of the past. This results in the use of images of victims from other nations or half-truth reports in the media, and what is even more impressive, is the use of this for political purposes. These things go to such an extent that we should not be surprised if tomorrow at some commemoration of the suffering of the Serbs, pictures of the Omarska and Trnopolje camps or pictures of the besieged Sarajevo appear,” Medic explained, Klix.ba reports.
