During the FIFA Summit held in Jeddah, bilateral meetings were organized between the president of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vico Zeljković, and the presidents of other football associations participating in the world football summit.

A great honor to our Association and President Zeljković, said the president of the Football Association of Saudi Arabia, Yasser Al Misehal. On this occasion, a joint meeting was organized where numerous issues were discussed, and specifically future joint projects of NS/FS BiH and SAFF were discussed. At the end of the meeting, as a sign of the beginning of successful and fruitful cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two football associations was signed, according to the FSBiH website.

“This joint document opens up new opportunities and creates better conditions for the development and training process of the younger age categories of both associations. In the following period, projects for the organization of youth selections will be implemented in both countries. In addition to these projects, there was talk of support in the construction of the national stadium, expansion of the capacity of the Training Center in Zenica, which in the coming period would be the place for the gathering and preparation of the younger selections of Saudi Arabia. Special emphasis was placed on the future investment related to the construction of a hotel within the headquarters of the NS/FS BiH. By expanding the accommodation capacity, preconditions will be created so that younger national teams can simultaneously prepare in Zenica and Sarajevo. In his address, President Zeljković highlighted new programs to improve the quality of domestic competitions managed by the NS/FS of BiH,” state the umbrella house of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s football.

“Today in Jeddah, we achieved a significant step towards strengthening international cooperation and improving the development of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am proud to announce that we have reached an agreement on the establishment of cooperation between the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Football Association of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting with SAFF President Yasser Al Misehal, various forms of mutual cooperation were discussed, which will contribute to the development of football in both countries in the future. Hereby, I would like to express my undisguised satisfaction that we have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which enables us to work together on projects aimed at the development and sports education of younger age groups. I want to thank President Al Misehal for his warm welcome, sincere welcome and constructive dialogue. We believe that our cooperation will be long-lasting and fruitful, which will ultimately bring new value in the further work of both national associations”, said Vico Zeljković.

The memorandum of cooperation marks the beginning of concrete cooperation, and thus opens the door to joint work and development of younger age categories, as well as to the improvement of football in both countries. Presidents Vico Zeljković and Yasser Al Misehal expressed optimism regarding the content of the signed agreement.
