After accepting the plea agreement, the Sarajevo Municipal Court found Kenan Crnkić guilty of the criminal offense of negligent work in the service.
He was sentenced to imprisonment for six months, with the proviso that the sentence will not be carried out unless he commits a new criminal offense within one year and compensates the damage to the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute in the amount of 39,859.25 BAM.
Crnkić is charged that during 2015, as the director of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Institute, without the consent of the Board of Directors, the Institute became a member of the international association “Center for Transatlantic Relations Sais” at the Johns Hopkins University.
After that, a payment was made from the account of the Institute in the amount of 39,859.25 BAM in favor of the international association, on behalf of the membership fee, on his order, although the cost was not foreseen in the Financial Plan, nor did it have the consent of the Board of Directors that adopts the Financial Plan.
In this way, he damaged the Institute for the stated amount, Klix.ba reports.
