The Sokolac Municipality Assembly adopted the decision on the zoning plan of the special purpose area “Bjelosavljevici-Kula Solar Power Plant”, with a capacity of 110.9 megawatts, in which a company from Germany will invest.

As announced by this Municipality, the local administration will receive 800.000 BAM annually in the name of the concession based on the issued 180 hectares of land that is not cultivated.

Mayor of Sokolac Milovan Bjelica recalled that this project has been worked on for almost two years, noting that he considers the adoption and completion of the zoning plan one of his greatest successes in the past 11 years as mayor.

Bjelica said that the investor is the company “Eter State”, registered in Graz, with headquarters in Germany, which will provide funds for the purchase of the tender documentation and has reserved 120 million euros planned for this investment.

According to him, the establishment of the solar power plant will introduce the “green economy”, which is already being sought by companies from the automotive industry and the production of aluminum joinery, Klix.ba reports.
