The Government of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 17th regular session, on the proposal of the Directorate for Finance of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adopted the Decision on the amount of financial aid to employees due to the increase in consumer prices in the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2023.
The amount of financial assistance was increased by 1,000.00 BAM compared to last year, and this year it amounts to 2,400.00 BAM. The amount of financial aid is not subject to taxation and is not considered income from non-self-employment. The employer can pay the financial assistance only until December 31, 2023, the District Government reported on Friday.
In the case of payment of financial assistance, employers are obliged to submit to the Tax Administration a notice of the amount of the paid financial assistance by January 10, 2024, in accordance with the Rulebook on the Application of the Income Tax Act, which should contain: the name and JIB of the employer, the amount of the financial assistance paid to the employee , the total number of employees to whom financial aid was paid and the total amount of aid paid.
At the proposal of the Department for European Integration and International Cooperation, the Decision was adopted on the approval of the program for spending funds for the co-financing of the USAID project “Diaspora invest” in the amount of 70,000.00 BAM.
Furthermore, at the proposal of the Police of the Brčko District of BiH, the District Government approved the Guidelines for drafting the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Police of the Brčko District of BiH, as well as the Guidelines for the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Police Officers of the Brčko District of BiH.
The District Government, on the proposal of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, also approved the guidelines for the drafting of the Draft Law on Agricultural Land of the Brčko District of BiH.
Also, information related to the application of the Decision on Limiting the Margin on Certain Foodstuffs and Other Products and the Decision on Limiting the Margin for Oil Derivatives was considered, Fena reports.
