Pope FrancisChairman of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Bariša Čolak (HDZ) said that the announced visit of Pope Francis to BiH on 6 June is a very positive thing for the country.

He stressed that the Holy Father will convey the messages of peace, unity, love and tolerance, just the messages that everyone in BiH needs, especially the citizens and that is why this visit will leave a significant mark.

“The Holy Father sees man primarily for what he is, he cares a lot for the human dignity, and he promotes this idea wherever he goes. I believe it will be the same with BiH,” explained Čolak.

He expressed hope that the visit of Pope Francis to BiH would go on in best possible way and that the messages he sends would bear fruit in BiH, which will be another opportunity for a new step forward for the country.

Pope Francis will visit Sarajevo on 6 June, which will be the third time the Head of Roman Catholic Church to visit BiH. His predecessor, Pope John Paul II, visited Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1997 and 2003.
