In a heavy Israeli attack on the southern Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera journalists Wael al-Dahdouh and Samer Abudaqa were injured, while Abudaqa unfortunately died from his wounds. Al-Dahdouh is currently being treated, while Israeli forces reportedly prevented medical teams from providing timely aid to Abudaq.

Samer Abudaqa, who worked as a cameraman and editor for Al Jazeera since 2004, was a native of the town of Abasan al-Kabir near Khan Younis. He was married and the father of four children. Abudaqa became another victim of reporting from the ground while covering the Israeli attack on a school in Khan Younis.

In the same attack, Palestinian journalist Ramy Budair, who was reporting from the field, became a direct target along with members of the civil protection. Budair also lost his life in this tragic event, along with Abudaq.

In addition, Israeli police launched an investigation into the attack on Anadolu Agency photojournalist Mustafa Haruf in occupied East Al-Quds. Haruf was severely beaten by Israeli forces, and the Israeli police quickly reacted by suspending the officers involved and launching an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident, Klix.ba reports.
