The largest Flag of BiH was destroyed only a few Days after its Raising

The largest flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was recently raised on the highest peak of the Vlašić mountain, was destroyed only a few days after its raising.

An imposing flagpole with the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was recently placed on top of the Vlašić mountain during the “Days of Victory, Days of Pride” event held on Vlašić to commemorate the victory of the BiH Army under the leadership of General Mehmed Alagić in March 1995.

Then the highest peak of Vlašić was liberated, and the victory marked the beginning of the end of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The organizers then announced that this is the largest flag of the Republic of BiH ever raised on the highest peak of Vlašić, with dimensions of 5×10 meters and placed on a 17.5 meter high flagpole.

Unfortunately, only ten days after its installation, the largest flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina faced the fate of destruction and is currently in a catastrophic state.

The Municipality of Travnik told Klix.ba that the flag was damaged due to the strong wind, and that care is being taken to restore it, i.e. that a new flag will actually be placed.

“There is also the BiH flag that will be raised for Independence Day and Statehood Day, and the flag with lilies will be renewed. In any case, they will most likely be raised on weekends when the weather is favorable. The key is the flagpole and additional facilities for visitors that will be done in the following period”, they told us from the Municipality of Travnik.
