The man who set himself on fire in front of the courthouse in New York, where former US President Donald Trump is on trial, has died.

According to the American media, it is about 37-year-old Max Azarella. Police said doctors declared him dead after he was admitted with severe burns.

A man set himself on fire in a park near a courthouse in Manhattan, New York, where former President Donald Trump is on trial on multiple charges of falsifying business documents.

A video posted on social media by a bystander shows a man on his knees with his hands on his head as flames engulf his body.

Police rushed to the scene, and one person tried to use a fire extinguisher to save the man, AA writes.
