Bosniak returnees in Nevesinje were shocked by the message “Knife, wire, Srebrenica” at the old bus stop in the village near.
This monstrous message with the four S sign and the cross is written on the previously drawn state flag.
The message was written on the night of July 31 to August 1. The returnees are in complete disbelief because vandals of this kind have not happened in the area of Nevesinje for a long time.
“In the light of current political events, we understand this message as an extremely serious threat. We certainly feel fear. The messages are anti-civilization and extremely ugly,” said Dzemal Sendro, one of the residents of the village of Khrushta.
According to him, the locals informed the Center for Public Safety in Nevesinje, and the on-duty team performed an investigation and made a report.
Sendro expresses hope that the perpetrators of this shameful act will be discovered and identified as soon as possible, and their names and motives will be made public. He called on Bosniaks in this area to remain calm and restrained, but also to be careful.
“We must remain persistent and fearless. Hatred must be defeated! It does no good to anyone. Justice and truth are the greatest ideals of civilization and in the long run are the only perspective for coexistence and coexistence of peoples and citizens in Bosnia, especially in Herzegovina,” Sendro said.
He added that the locals expect the local authorities to condemn this vandalism, inciting national intolerance and that Serb returnees to the Neretva Valley, especially those in the Mostar area, will join the condemnation, the returnees to this Nevesinje village said in a statement.
