The newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael John Murphy, presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH today.
The Ambassador handed over the credentials to the Head of the Department for Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Besic.
Michael Murphy, the new US Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, arrived on Friday, and will officially hand over the credentials to BiH Presidency Chairman Zeljko Komsic tomorrow.
In early July 2021, US President Joe Biden elected Michael Murphy as the new ambassador, and then he was confirmed by the US Senate.
Murphy has 29 years of experience and has worked as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. His portfolio includes European security, conventional arms control and Arctic security, according to a biography published on the State Department’s website.
