Ambassador of Romania to BiH Filip Teodorescu visited today mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić and congratulated him on becoming a mayor, reports Fena.
Teodorescu expressed the readiness for establishing direct and bilateral relations of Sarajevo and Bucharest and other cities of Romania.
‘Romanian Embassy can contribute to development of dialogue and future cooperation, as well as implementation of joint projects for the welfare of our citizens. Sarajevo is an important cultural, economic and educational centre, and so in those sectors, our capitals can make partner relations’, noted Romanian ambassador.
Mayor Komšić said that he’s pleased with the opening of the wide spectre of future cooperation between two cities and two countries, which should be focused on tourism, agriculture, craftsmanship and infrastructure and traffic.
Talking about future plans of city of Sarajevo, like the rehabilitation of Trebević cable car, European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2017, Komšić said he hopes that Romania will also join the manifestation of marking 100 years since the beginning of the First World War which will be held next year, said the Press Service of Sarajevo City.
