Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Denis Zvizdic, as part of a two-day visit to the Una-Sana Canton, met with Bihac Mayor Suhret Fazlic to discuss current development projects of the City of Bihac, and on the migrant situation.

They agree that it is necessary to ensure better coordination of all levels of state government, but also state and local authorities with international and other organizations that are dealing with the care of migrants, especially because of the arrival of winter and the problems that this time period brings.

Inerlocutors concluded that the adoption of the new Law on Asylum and the Law on Foreigners requires the involvement of the BiH PA.

The development of tourist infrastructure was also discussed, especially after the coronavirus pandemic, knowing that Bihac is very attractive to foreign visitors and investors due to its natural beauty and the protected area of the Una River.

The Mayor of Bihac also informed Zvizdic about the project of gasification of Bihac and the complete USC, and about the need to reach an interstate agreement with the Republic of Croatia.
