The number of tourists in 2012 in KS has increased

The number of tourists in 2012 in KS has significantly increased.

According to data of the Tourist Community of KS, 256,268 tourists  (81,1 % are foreign, 18,9% are local)visited (10.8% more than in 2011), 504,929 overnight stays (12.9% more than in 2011)

The largest number of tourists came from Croatia (17.4 percent), Turkey (13.9 percent), Slovenia (8.1 percent), Serbia (4.9 percent), Germany (4.4 percent), Italy, Kuwait, Austria, South Korea and the United States.

The number of tourists from Croatia rose for 9.5% and 13.9% in overnight stays; Turkey 22.9% and 10.8% in overnight stays, Germany 11.8% and 6.4% in overnight stays; Italy 11.6% and 23.1% in overnight stays.

The number of tourist from Kuwait rose by 188% and 207.2% in overnight stays, Austria 9.1% and 13.7% in overnight stays, South Korea 45,4% and 48,2%, the USA 14,7% and 8,8%, Slovenia 2,3% and France 18% and 27,9% in overnight stays.

The number of tourists from Serbia dropped by 2.1% and 3.3% in overnight stays and Slovenia 2.1% in overnight stays.

In 2012 in KS there were 118 accommodation facilities (10.3% increase in comparison to 2011), the number of rooms increased by 1.9% (3776) and the number of beds by 3% (8229)

Occupancy rates stood at 36.5 % in terms of room occupancy and 16.8 % in terms of bed occupancy.

On average tourists spend 1.9 per visit.

Tourists from 129 countries visited KS in 2012.
