The Number of Tourists in B&H significantly increased in 2015

touristsThe number of tourists who visited B&H in 2015 was significantly increased compared to the previous year.

During the first 10 months, in FB&H was recorded 646,207 visits, which represents an increase by 27.3 % in comparison to the same period in 2014. A total of 1,300,026 overnight stays was registered, which is more by 33.6 % compared to the previous year.

Tourists who have decided to visit our country are mostly coming from Turkey, Croatia, Italia, Poland, Slovenia, South Korea, Germany, Serbia, the United States and France.

“Canton Sarajevo is visited the most in the FB&H, and then Mostar and Tuzla, which became a hit destination due to the new tourist attractions this year. Travnik and Vlasic, as well as Bihac, were also interesting for tourists and we have good information for Jajce, Buna and Kravice waterfalls, although there are no overnight stays. Medjugorje is still one of the three most visited pilgrimage locations in the world, but that is out of the official statistics,” according to Asja Hadziefendic-Mesic from the Tourist Board of the FB&H.

When it comes to the area of the RS, the most visited is Banja Luka, and then spa centers and the mountains.

Looking overall, 71.5 & visit FB&H, 27.5 % visit the RS and 1% of the tourists visit Brcko District.
