The Number of Tourists in FBiH increased in January

The total number of tourist arrivals in January 2024 was 63,265, which is 2.1 percent more compared to the same month last year, and compared to December 2023, it is 17.8 percent less.

The participation of domestic tourists is 40.1 percent, and foreign tourists 59.9 percent.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in January 2024 was 135,097, which is 2.4 percent less than in January 2023, and 5.3 percent less than in December 2023. The participation of domestic tourists is 37.4 percent, and foreign tourists 62.6 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized within the category Hotels and similar accommodation with a participation of 96.4 percent.

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were made by tourists from Croatia (34%), Serbia (12.2%), Turkey (9.4%), Montenegro (7.0%) and Slovenia (4.0%), which is a total of 66.6 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 33.4 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in January 2024 was 28,209, which is 0.5 percent less compared to the same month last year.

The net bed occupancy rate for hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of BiH was 17 percent.
