The Banjaluka Police Department issued a decision banning the public gathering of opposition members of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska at the location in front of the Assembly.

The Police Administration pointed out that they informed the deputies of the provisions of the Law on Public Gatherings and that public gatherings can be held on Krajina Square and in “Mladen Stojanović” Park, at locations designated by the local community.

MPs from the opposition have announced an “open-air assembly” on the plateau of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska for tomorrow.

The opposition accuses the SNSD of violating the conclusions reached by the entity parliament by acting in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They called on all deputies to show that they care about the citizens by attending and interacting with them
the will of the people, but also to the institution of the National Assembly.

PDP MP Igor Crnadak confirmed earlier today that he was interviewed by the Banjaluka Police Department, but that there was no talk of a possible ban on gatherings, even though the law provides for a ban on public gatherings within 50 meters of a protected building.
