The remains were found on the surface of the terrain in an extremely inaccessible location.

Investigators from the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Agency for Investigation and Protection obtained information about the location of these remains through joint work.

After the exhumation, the remains were transferred to the premises of the Visoko Cemetery where they will undergo forensic-medical processing, as well as the extraction of bone samples with the aim of identifying the victim through DNA analysis.

The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
