The application filed by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka against the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, was forwarded to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo for competent action, is confirmed from the District Prosecutor’s Office for Srna news agency.

The District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka said that the aforementioned report was forwarded to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton on August 16.

In July, Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik filed criminal charges against Schmidt because, as stated, he was “unauthorizedly engaged in the affairs of the High Representative” and against the director of the “Official Gazette of BiH”, Dragan Prusina, because he enabled the publication of the High Representative’s decisions.

“I filed a criminal complaint against Schmidt to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka because he has been dealing with the affairs of the High Representative for a long time without authorization, for which he does not have a decision from the UN Security Council,” said Dodik at the time.

He said that Schmidt, with the intention of causing damage to Republika Srpska, falsely presents himself as an official knowing that he was not appointed in accordance with Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Dodik pointed out that Schmidt thereby committed the criminal acts of “unauthorized occupation of a certain occupation and false representation under Articles 310 and 313 of the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska”.

“I filed a criminal complaint against Prusina to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office because, as the director of the Official Gazette of BiH, knowingly violating the law, his influence, actions and decisions enabled the publication of the decisions of the so-called high representative in the Official Gazette of BiH, as a result of which there was a serious violation of the rights of the Republika Srpska,”said Dodik.

According to his words, Prusina thereby committed criminal acts of abuse of position and unscrupulous work in the service under articles 220 and 224 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
