The Safest Places in the Event of World War III, only One in Europe

In any scenario predicting World War III, there are highly neutral countries that might be spared from destruction. These nations are characterized by geographic remoteness, and their abundant resources make them ideal destinations for surviving global conflicts.

The atmosphere on the planet seems tenser than ever, even among countries without apparent drama. For instance, Scandinavians are being given lists of supplies to prepare for war, and Indian media haspublished a list of countries to consider relocating to if you want to avoid the fallout of World War III. Unsurprisingly, these locations are quite distant and inaccessible, especially from our region.

Antarctica

Although not a country, Antarctica has secured a place on every list of this type due to its extreme isolation.

Known for breathtaking landscapes and icy terrains, it’s not a place many would call home, but…

Fiji

Fiji is an isolated island nation in the vast Pacific Ocean, pursuing a peaceful foreign policy.

The population lives modestly, and its lush forests, mineral springs, and rich fishing grounds make Fiji an attractive haven amidst global uncertainty.

Iceland

Iceland consistently ranks at the top of the Global Peace Index.

With abundant freshwater reserves, renewable energy, and marine resources, Iceland is self-sufficient and doesn’t need to rely on other countries for basic resources. Moreover, it’s home to “the loneliest house in the world,” rumored to be an apocalypse shelter.

Greenland

While Denmark, as part of the European Union (EU) and NATO, might face the brunt of a European war, Greenland, an autonomous constituent country, remains strategically distant and politically non-aligned.

Its remote, mountainous terrain makes it a fitting escape from the rest of the world.

New Zealand

New Zealand, with its stable democracy and history of peace, is another hidden yet developed nation.

With fertile soil, clean water, and the ability to produce its own food, New Zealand’s mountainous terrain offers natural sanctuaries from potential invasions.

Bhutan

Nestled in the Himalayas, Bhutan offers an excellent refuge, tucked away and shielded from potential threats.

With its commitment to external independence and cautious avoidance of diplomatic entanglements, Bhutan is unlikely to become a logical target for invasion.

Ireland

Despite its proximity to potential conflict in England, Ireland maintains a completely independent foreign policy and refrains from NATO membership. Its military neutrality could keep it out of any conflicts.

Switzerland

Switzerland, known for its political neutrality, boasts landlocked mountainous terrain and numerous nuclear shelters. Even in the event of nuclear bombs hitting the country, the Swiss population is well-protected by bunkers and surrounded by mountains, creating a natural defense against neighboring nations.

Indonesia

Indonesia’s inclusion on this list stems from its traditionally neutral stance on global political issues, embodied in its “free and active” foreign policy.

The country focuses on independent action in international affairs and is dedicated to fostering global peace.

Tuvalu

Within the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, Tuvalu is an exceptionally secluded and politically neutral nation.

Its small population and minimal resources give little incentive for major countries involved in a global war to target Tuvalu. Self-sufficient, it produces its own food and supplies, ensuring its independence and likely isolation in a wartime scenario.
