The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo (CS), through the IPA project of the European Union (EU) Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), received modern IT equipment and professional training for employees through a project worth more than half a million BAM.
This is a project for which the Ministry of Internal Affairs of CSapplied through the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with other ministries of internal affairs of FBiH, two years ago.
The needs of all ministries were expressed for the acquisition of new IT equipment and professional training, which will raise the operational level of police officers.
The equipment received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of CS, through the project, contains 60 brand computers of the latest generation that will be distributed to the organizational units of the Police Department of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of CS, as well as five new servers – including a server for forensics, network equipment and cameras to strengthen the video system supervision.
The project also included professional training for all employees of the IT Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the CS, as well as the Police Directorate, who provide IT and technical support to other employees, which were successfully implemented in the previous period. The total value of the project is 540,000 BAM.
“We are continuing our efforts to strengthen our police by equipping them with modern technical and IT equipment so that their work will be even more efficient. The police will receive 60 new computers, and our IT Department also acted preventively, and through this project planned to increase the level of security of the server environment, protection against all kinds of external intrusions, better infrastructure than the existing one, and a new server for forensics. In this way, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of CS increases the level of security of our data, as well as the data of our citizens,” said Minister Admir Katica, Klix.ba writes.
