The Security Situation in the FBiH “satisfying”

12084194_1738630443040299_285074117_nWorking meeting of the Federal Minister of Interior Aljosa Campara and the director of the Federal Police Dragan Lukac with ministers and police commissioners of the cantonal ministries of the interior was held yesterday in Orasje.

Goran Salihovic, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecution Office of BiH, also attended the meeting in the segment of discussions on the topic of terrorism. Security situation in the FBiH in February 2016 was also discussed at the meeting as well as a number of current issues in the field of police work.

Security situation is rated as satisfactory from the standpoint of the indicators in the areas of crime, traffic safety, attacks on the authorized officials and public order and peace, which are similar to the figures for the same period last year.

The current issues in the field of fight against terrorism were also discussed at the meeting, with special emphasis on the importance of the timely exchange of operational data and information. Specific measures for further work were agreed for more efficient operation of police authorities.

It was emphasized that the police authorities in FBiH are fully supporting the Prosecutor’s Office in the efforts that they are making in the fight against organized crime, terrorism and corruption.

Among other issues, the issue of maintenance of the information system for the electronic exchange of data from the records of the police in the FBiH was discussed, as well as the further improvement of cooperation between the Ministry of Interior of FBiH, the Federal Police and cantonal Ministry of Interior in all lines of work, especially on the issue of crime, as it is the most complex and most important segment in the field of security.

Representatives of the OHR, the EUSR and ICITAP attended the meeting as well.
