The special Envoy of France for the Western Balkans Troccaz is visiting BiH

The special envoy of France for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz, will be in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)from December 4th to 8th, 2023.

During his first visit, the special envoy will meet with representatives of BiH authorities and civil society in Sarajevo and Banja Luka.

There will also be meetings with representatives of the international community, and he will lead the French delegation at the session of the Peace Implementation Council on December 5th and 6th, 2023.

Those meetings will be an opportunity to discuss the regional situation, bilateral relations between France and BiH, as well as the country’s European perspective.

Special Envoy Troccaz, who was appointed by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna on September 29th, 2023, will deal with the main political issues in the Western Balkans region and initiatives for regional cooperation. His appointment is part of the strengthening of France’s activities in the Western Balkans and its approach to the European Union (EU), it was announced from the Embassy of France in BiH.
