Support of Romania to the EU Initiative of B&H

Bevanda-PontaThe Chairman of B&H Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda met with the Prime Minister of Romania Victor Ponta on Monday in Bucharest. Ponta is the host of the third economic and trade forum of Central and Eastern Europe countries with China.

The interlocutors agreed that the relationship between the two countries is good and without outstanding issues. A good policy and legal basis for the further development of cooperation is supported by the signing of many agreements in the field of culture, investments, taxation, combating terrorism, while the relation of export-import between the two countries has a healthy basis.

Chairman Bevanda expressed that the aim of B&H is to work on strengthening of economic and cultural cooperation. He stressed that B&H is still on its path towards EU and NATO and the support of Romania is very important for EU aspiration’s, especially considering the representation of Romania at the EU Parliament.

Prime Minister Ponta expressed the support of Romania to the EU aspirations of B&H. He pointed out that Romania is available for B&H with its experience in regard to system reforms necessary for membership in both organizations.
