The trade deficit of the United States of America (USA) increased by 2.6 percent on a monthly basis in January.
The Ministry of Trade published January data on trade. According to the latest data, the trade deficit rose to $90.2 billion in January.
In the mentioned period, the export of goods increased by 0.2 percent to 170.4 billion dollars, and the import of goods by 1.1 percent to 260.6 billion dollars. The market expected that the goods deficit in this period would amount to 88.4 billion dollars.
The trade deficit in December last year amounted to 87.9 billion dollars.
