Thirteen New Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Sarajevo

In Sarajevo Canton, 461 people were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, 13 new infections were confirmed, and 35 recovered from Covid infection.

Three people died as a result of the coronavirus on Thursday. Of the mentioned number of newly infected, six of them, ie 46.15 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Currently, 85 patients are hospitalized in CS, 37 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), and 48 patients at the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

There is one patient on the respirator at KCUS. At the same time, oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute is used by five patients at the KCUS and six at the General Hospital. In the past 24 hours, four people were released from hospitalization. 116 patients were examined in the Covid-dispensaries of the Public Institution Dom zdravlja CS.

A total of 242 samples were taken at drive-in points and Covid dispensaries.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 380 active cases of COVID-19 infection. There are currently 2,053 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,359 people infected with coronavirus and 50,715 cured have been registered in CS.

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of CS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 18, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 30.

As announced, the vaccination of employees in pharmacies begins today, according to the submitted priority lists of the Public Institution Pharmacy Sarajevo and the Pharmaceutical Chamber for Private Pharmacies.
