Today in Banja Luka marks the 30th anniversary of the death of 12 babies who died due to lack of oxygen in 1992.

At the Monument to the 12 Babies in the New Cemetery, a memorial service is held and 12 roses are laid.

The celebration is attended by the Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Denis Sulic, and MPs Davor Sesic and Marinko Dragisic.

This event is organized by the Republic Organization of Families of Captured, Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians.

A UN Security Council decision in May and June 1992 banned international flights, even those with oxygen bottles, from Belgrade to Banja Luka.

The president of the Republic Organization of Families of Captured, Killed Fighters and Missing Civilians, Veljko Lazic, said that the responsibility for the crime against 12 babies lies exclusively with the international community.
