Three Million BAM allocated for co-financing the protection of national monuments

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning, adopted the Decision adopting the Program of spending funds with the criteria for the allocation of capital transfers established by the Budget of FBiH for 2024 to this ministry for the participation of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the co-financing of cantonal and local communities – the protection of national monuments, in in the amount of 3,000,000 BAM.

The distribution of these funds will be carried out after the public call, in accordance with the general conditions of participation and special criteria for distribution determined by this decision, as regular funds for selected programs/projects in the maximum value of financing in the amount of up to 150,000 BAM per selected program/project.

These funds will be allocated to users in accordance with the adopted programs/projects, based on submitted requests and a public call to be announced by the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning.

The public call for the allocation of funds will be published on the Ministry’s official website, in the Official Gazette of FBiH and at least one daily newspaper. In accordance with this decision, individual decisions on the allocation of funds for all mentioned programs/projects are made by the Federal Minister of Spatial Planning. The Ministry will conclude agreements with users on mutual rights and obligations.

Beneficiaries are obliged to use the allocated funds for their intended purpose and to submit a report with complete documentation proving the intended use of the funds within 15 days from the end of the program/project.

As stated in the explanation of the Decision, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Assets that have been declared a national monument of BiH by the decisions of the Commission for the Protection of National Monuments, the Federal Ministry of Spatial Planning is obliged to ensure legal, scientific, technical, administrative and financial measures for protection, conservation, presentation and rehabilitation of national monuments, announced the Government of FBiH.
