By dropping three thousand roses for the three thousand killed from the Mehmed-paša Sokolović Bridge, tribute was also paid to the victims from the Višegrad area.

It is sad that nothing has changed, our loved ones are not being found. War criminals are not being arrested, but are walking freely in Višegrad. However, as long as we are alive, our loved ones will not be forgotten, are some of the messages from the Association of Families of the Missing Višegrad 92-95.

The remains of 487 victims are still being searched for. The perpetrators of the crimes in Višegrad were members of Serbian paramilitary and police formations. Over the course of several months, hundreds of Bosniaks were killed and disappeared. The Court of BiH convicted several people for the crimes in Višegrad, and the Hague Tribunal sentenced Milan Lukić to life imprisonment after he, as commander of the paramilitary unit “White Eagles”, was found guilty of crimes against humanity committed in Višegrad.

The funeral and burial of Ibrahim Avdagić, one of the exhumed victims, should be held at the Stražište cemetery at this time.
