gondolaThe construction of the gondola “Jahorina-express” is moving along with full speed. Currently it has been working on setting up the electrical network, as well as, on the roads to set up the pillars for gondolas, reports ATV.

The Pale Company “Majnex,” which is responsible for the project, do not have yet a two-year investment balance. For now we know that the value of the project is 30 million euro. Government assistance, they say, would be very helpful.

“With the government we had agreement on a public-private partnership, where they basically promised to participate in building, meaning to finance for the equipments with some 30 to 40%, that would complete the investment and gondola could be able to already operate”, said the company owner  of “Majnex” Veljko Golijanin.

Even the Pale Municipality is not offering partnership to build gondolas, announces ATV. Project is welcomed because due to it could be having tourism benefit.

“We think that with this project, tourism in Pale will gain significance, because probably with the variant of gondola construction even hotels which are in center of Pale, 12 km from Jahorina would have more offers. We believe that a large number of private houses would benefit because due to the construction of the gondola, we assume a large number of tourists would choose to use accommodation in Pale, and by gondola to travel daily to Jahorina”, said the deputy mayor of Pale Nenad Vuković.

Citizens, especially younger ones are thrilled with the project because this area could get the image of the world’s ski center, and they hope employment as well.

Deadline for completion of the gondola is not yet determined. However, according to the desire of investors, the first ride from Pale to Jahorina could be in two years, when will finalize the last phase of construction and setting.
