From today, BH driving Licenses can be changed in Germany without the Exam

Exchange_of_the_driving_licences (1)The Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Damir Hadzic and the Parliamentary State Secretary Katherine Reiche have signed the Joint statement on the intention of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany and the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH about the procedure of replacing driving licenses.

“The Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH has completed one more important project that will make direct benefit to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, said Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Damir Hadzic, confirming that the statement entered into force after the signature.

In this way, replacement of driving licenses was made easier for persons that have a valid driving licenses for motor vehicles that are issued by the competent authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in Germany.

Citizens can change their driving licenses without taking an additional theoretical or practical exam if they reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina for at least 180 days during the year, or at least 185 days in Germany.

Ongoing negotiations

Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH has completed the process of recognition and replacement of driving licenses with Australia in past three years, and is in the process of negotiations about the mutual and exchange of driving licenses with the Republic of Italy, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Macedonia, Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Kingdom of Spain.
