A meeting of the highest representatives of the BiH Ministry of Defense and the NATO Delegation on the current issues on cooperation between the Ministry and BiH Armed Forces and with NATO is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Sarajevo at the Ministry of Defense headquarters.
The NATO delegation will visit Sarajevo in the framework of NATO’s Military Partnerships Coordination Workshops-MPC WS 13. The host is the BiH Ministry of Defense.
General Mieczyslav Bienek, the Deputy Commander of the Allied Command Transformation and General Sandor Fucsku, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Military Partnership of the Supreme Command of Allied Powers in Europe (MPD SHAPE) will lead the NATO delegation.
Minister Zekerijah Osmić will lead the Ministry delegation, along with his deputies Marina Pendeš and Mirko Okolić.
The NATO Military Partnerships Coordination Workshops 2013 will be open tomorrow in hotel “Europe” tomorrow. The goal of NATO is to gather together all those responsible for issues of military partnership that are represented by the international staff, NATO’s command structure at a strategic and operative level and partners from all partnership programs (partnership for peace, Mediterranean dialogue, Istanbul initiative of cooperation and partners in the world) in order to discuss the current engagements and possible engagements with partners in the future.
For partner countries, this event will mean a huge opportunity to express national interest, priorities and needs for the next years so that NATO’s support and help could be tailored based on the unique needs for each country.
Around 150 participants from 27 partner countries will take part in the gathering, as well as representative of all NATO commands and ten NATO schools.
