In an extremely strong competition at the Europa Open, which was held this weekend in Ljubljana, Bosnia and Herzegovina judo representative Toni Miletić won the gold medal.

On his way to triumph in the 90 kg category, Miletić recorded five victories. He defeated Daniel Pinter (Czech Republic), Marat Kryzhanski (Ukraine) and Segev Ben Hardoch (Israel), while in the semifinals he defeated another representative of Ukraine, Stanislav Gunchenko.

Miletić confirmed that he was in excellent shape at the beginning of this year with a victory over Spaniard Daniel Nieto Trinidad.

“It is always nice to win a gold medal, especially at a competition like the Europa Open in Ljubljana, where the competition was extremely strong. I am happy that I managed to achieve such a result at the beginning of the year. I am sure that it will be an incentive and motivation for me to work even better and with better quality in the coming period,” said Miletić after his victory in Ljubljana.

Miletić also took this opportunity to thank everyone who supports his work in any way, as well as the training process of his representative colleagues.

“Thank you to everyone who is with us, who supports us, and I especially want to thank our coaches, both in the club and in the national team, and the people in the Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are trying in every possible way to provide the best possible conditions so that we can represent our homeland with dignity,” Miletić emphasized, Fena writes.
