Total Seasonally Adjusted Retail Trade Turnover in Bosnia-Herzegovina recorded Increase

The total seasonally adjusted retail trade turnover in Bosnia-Herzegovina in December 2019, seen at current prices, increased by 0.7% compared to November 2019.

The decrease in turnover was recorded in the trade of food products (food, beverages and tobacco) in 1.2%, while the non-food products trade recorded a slight increase of 0.04%.

Viewed at constant prices, the total seasonally adjusted retail trade turnover in Bosnia in December 2019 increased by 0.9% compared to November 2019.

The decrease in turnover was recorded in the trade of food products (food, beverages and tobacco) in the amount of 1.5%, while in non-food products trade there was an increase of 1.1%.

In December 2019, the total retail trade turnover index in Bosnia recorded a nominal increase of 32.3%, while the real growth was 33.0% compared to the base year (2015). In December 2019, the total retail trade turnover in Bosnia, observed at current prices, increased by 4.9% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Sales of food products (food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 10.4%, while non-food products increased by 5.6% compared to December 2018.

Viewed at constant prices, total retail trade turnover grew 7.3% compared to December 2018. Food products turnover increased by 9.1%, while non-food products sales grew by 11.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, according to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Agency for Statistics.
