13522617_1787619961474680_2013830630_nTalgo will initially operate on lines Sarajevo – Zagreb and Sarajevo – Banja Luka. Release of section to the south, specifically to Ploce, is also planned after refurbished railway line is opened to traffic on this section, at which works are ongoing.

Release of these modern Talgo train sets in use, except that it will improve rail transportation in the FBiH, because they include wagon with shower, TV and the Internet, it will also shorten the traveling time between destinations.

This means that ride to Zagreb, instead of six and a half hours will be shorter for almost two hours, and the ride to Banja Luka, instead of three hours, will last for two hours.

Ticket price from Sarajevo to Zagreb, which in one direction now amounts to 56.10 BAM, in Talgo trains will most likely amount to 63.10 BAM. The price will be increased for only 7 BAM. Return ticket, with included comfort, will cost 92.20 BAM.

Ticket from Sarajevo to Banja Luka, instead of 33 BAM, will cost 36 BAM. Return ticket to Banja Luka will be 56.5 BAM. When it comes to the line Sarajevo – Ploce, which is also one of the options after putting in operation of the motorway to south, the price of the ride with Talgo trains will be 18 BAM in one direction.

Talgo trains were purchased in 2005, 132 million BAM paid and delivered in 2010.
