erdal trhuljWhen human lives are lost, every word is redundant except words of consolation, Federation Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Erdal Trhulj said after the mining accident in the pit Raspotočje in Zenica.

“The only thing we can currently do is sympathize with the miners and their families,” he said.

Trhulj said he will do everything he can to help the families of miners. He also emphasized that the Federation of BiH will do anything in its power to help the families of miners, adding that he prepared some forms of help already together with the Federation Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.

“Even though there are intensive activities on modernizing mines, ‘rock bursts’ are something which happen in every mine around the world. That is a natural accident.

You are witnesses to the procurement of state-of-the-art technology and miners know much has been done in the last couple of years on the modernization of work and increasing their security,” Trhulj explained.

He said that these accidents can happen in the mining industry even with the latest technology.
