Trump Blasts Netanyahu, Warns Him Not to Interfere in U.S.-Iran Negotiations

US President Donald Trump harshly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone call last week for his announcements of a potential attack on Iran, Axios reveals.

According to this American media outlet, Trump told Netanyahu in a phone call not to “interfere with the US-Iran negotiations” on the nuclear deal.

Trump’s message was that Netanyahu “should not provoke at a time when he is trying to solve problems,” a White House official told Axios.

However, according to their claims, Trump left room for “another option,” namely a military attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, but only if the negotiations fail.

Recall that the US and Iranian delegations, mediated by Oman, held five rounds of talks on the nuclear deal. So far, there is no concrete solution on the table, but optimistic messages are coming from Washington, while Tehran claims that “nothing has been agreed.”

On the other hand, Israel, whose right-wing government sees Iran as the “biggest threat”, has begun planning military strikes on nuclear facilities.
The call between Netanyahu and Trump followed the murder of two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington.

According to Trump’s announcements, the Iranian-American negotiations should have concrete results by the end of this week.
