US President Donald Trump, towards the end of his address to the UN, which lasted much longer than the planned 15 minutes, called climate change “the biggest hoax ever perpetrated in the world”, and rejected theories about global warming, the BBC reports.

“There is no more global warming, no more global cooling”, he said.

He added that all climate change forecasts made by the UN and others were “wrong” and made by “stupid people”.

He called on world leaders to move away from the “green scam” – referring to climate policies – or their countries would “go under”.

“And I’m really good at predicting things”, he said.

The vast majority of scientists and experts agree that human-caused climate change is real.
