On Sunday, there was a shooting at the Trump National Golf Club in West Palm Beach. Former President Donald Trump attended the event at his South Florida club.
“President Trump is safe following the shooting near him. There is no additional information available at this time,” Steven Cheung, communications director for the Trump campaign, said in a statement.
According to initial reports, an unidentified individual managed to gain unauthorized access to the golf club grounds. Secret Service agents quickly apprehended the suspect before they could get close to the former president. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the individual’s identity or motive.
A Secret Service spokesperson stated, “The former president was never in immediate danger, and our agents acted with precision and speed to neutralize the situation. We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the breach.”
Trump has not publicly commented on the incident, but sources close to him say he remains in good spirits. The golf club, a frequent retreat for Trump, has temporarily heightened its security measures while the investigation continues.
We remind you that in mid-July there was a shooting at the rally of former US President Donald Trump, in which the current candidate of the Republican Party was injured. Two people were killed in that incident, including the person suspected of shooting Trump.
According to information from the Butler County District Attorney, two people were then killed. One of them is the suspect in the shooting. The second victim was a visitor at a Trump rally.
