US President Donald Trump returned early from the G7 summit due to the situation in the Middle East, and his status on the social network Truth Social attracted a lot of attention.
Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, Trump said that all residents of Tehran should evacuate.
“Iran should have signed the agreement. I told them to sign. What a disgrace, what a waste of human lives. Simply put – Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. I have said that over and over again. Everyone should evacuate Tehran immediately,” Trump said.
Also, in the next status, Trump criticized his former ally Tucker Carlson, to whom he told him that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
A little earlier, White House spokeswoman Carolina Leavitt also spoke out, saying that Trump left the G7 summit early.
“President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Much has been achieved, but due to what is happening in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with the heads of state,” she said.
Although the White House did not discuss details, many assume that this may mean that the United States will directly intervene on the side of Israel in the developments in Iran and that there is a possibility of attacks targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.
However, it should also be taken into account that shortly before Trump’s statuses, information from several Western sources emerged that Trump intends to offer Iran a new agreement. In this context, Trump’s statuses can also be characterized as creating additional pressure on the authorities in Tehran in the context of the nuclear agreement.
