Turkish Investments in Sokolac akta.baRepresentatives of the Turkish company “Mavi Beyaz” which deals with mediation with the Embassy of Turkey in B&H and Ziraat Bank visited yesterday the Municipality Sokolac and talked to the Mayor Milovan Bjelica. Reason for their visit was the possibility of investing at the territory of Municipality Sokolac, especially in the development of agricultural production. Projects funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency were also discussed at the meeting.

“The aim of our company is to bring the investors from Turkey to B&H, in order to realize the best possible cooperation between these two countries. We arrived in Sokolac to check which options are at our disposal and in which way we can help them. What we are especially interested in is the expansion of agricultural production, and good cooperation can be expected there. Through the state funds and through projects we will attempt to provide certain means for Municipality Sokolac”, said the owner of the company “Mavi Beyaz” Abdulhamit Yildirim.

The Mayor of Municipality Sokolac Milovan Bjelica spoke about former projects to the attendees. He noted that the greatest assistance when it comes to donations would be needed for the reconstruction of House of Culture in Sokolac, which was devastated in a fire, as well as the assistance to the development of agriculture in terms of mechanization.

It was also discussed about donations for the kindergarten in Sokolac, the Health Care Center, and sports society. Possible investors from Turkey expressed special interest in the Sokolac farm of cows in Podromanija for which, according to them, they will certainly allocate funds for the improvement of business.
