Two well-known and recognized world experts from the field of children’s surgery, the President and General Secretary of the Organization for Children’s Surgery (WOFAPS), prof. dr. Richard Azizkhan and Jose Ochoa will visit the Clinical Center of the University in Tuzla (UKC) these days.
The long-time friends of BiH and Tuzla will visit the University to overlook the realization of the project of construction of a big education center in the field of medical science. This would be a place of gathering for doctors throughout the world.
“Our friendship and cooperation with UKC Tuzla has endured for more than 17 years. I have to admit that I have become emotionally attached to this city, especially with my fellow doctors. Our goal is to use our experience and influence to help computerize the health system in Tuzla Canton. Our plan is to help build a superb education center at UKC, not only for doctors from this area, but also for doctors and health care professionals from South East Europe. We would organize conferences, symposiums, and seminars… This is the way that UKC would become known in the entire region and beyond’’, said Azikhan for ‘Dnevni Avaz’.
The partner for the project to build an education center for one part is the Children’s Hospital from Cincinatti, USA, where Azizkhan is one of the leading experts.
Given the international positions they hold, Azizkhan and Ochoa are in a position to help bring world renowned medical experts to Tuzla, not only from the field of children’s surgery and other branches of medicine, but to also use their theoretical and practical knowledge and experiences to help educate local doctors.
