As part of the 17th humanitarian campaign “Week of Solidarity Bihac – Srebrenica,” 12 tons of food were collected and distributed into 300 packages. In addition to food products, families in Zvornik, Bratunac, Srebrenica, Vlasenica, and Potocari will also receive packages with hygiene supplies.

The aid distribution will be carried out by 20 volunteers, and the campaign was organized by the “Horizont 2006” Association in partnership with the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Bihac and the organization Pomozi.ba. Longtime friends from Switzerland made a significant contribution, and the Ministry of Finance of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) also provided support for this humanitarian initiative.

The send-off of the convoy carrying the packages was attended by the Minister of Finance of USC, Danko Jaksic, who emphasized the importance of such actions in strengthening unity and solidarity.

“We are proud that the Ministry of Finance can be part of this initiative and support those who selflessly help those in greatest need. Every such effort shows that the citizens of the USC are always ready to stand by those in need,” said Jaksic.

Volunteers will deliver the aid to families in the coming days, while organizers highlight that they will continue their humanitarian work in the future, Fena news agency writes.
